I am an author/illustrator who lives on the Southern Oregon Coast with my scruffy partner and scruffier dog. I have been a bank teller, a traveler, a teacher, and always a storyteller. I am inspired by the natural beauty that is everywhere here in the PNW, as you can see in the When Seasons Come picture book series by Aimee Bisonette (Little Bigfoot Books). I also like to write about big emotions as I did in In the Blue (Little Brown Books for Young Readers), a 2023 Schneider Family Book Award Honor book. As a quiet kid with a vivid imagination, I loved to escape to the other worlds in stories and was drawn strongly to characters that felt like friends. I hope to make books where kids can find and lose themselves, too.
